Baby Annalise!

AHA! Aaron has taken over the blog, so the content of this is now going to be unedited! (Wait till I pull out the fantastic picture I have in store...)

Annalise Marie was born at just after 8 am on Monday, November 3rd. She weighed an incredible (for a Mertig baby) 8 lbs. 9 oz. Contrary to rumors circulating, the baby was NOT born with a sombrero on its head. That ugly rumor was due to the fact that Abby nearly ate El Dorado's out of business in the final trimester. Of course, upon opening Abby up for the C-Section, I did smell something of a enchilada floating through the air...

Either way, she was big, and does have a fat roll or two. That's nothing of a knock on Annie, it's just Maddy and Ben were two lightweights. She was also 19 1/2 inches long. Without the Mexican headwear, of course. She's healthy, which is the most important thing.

Abby also made it through very well. She talked with the anasteseologist to cut back on the "drowsy drugs", and even made it through everything without puking. That's a big deal if you know Abby. She's currently hungering for anything solid, as they have her on a strictly liquid diet. Please, if Abby calls you requesting McDonald's french fries, (I'm looking at YOU, Vicki), don't aid her in her devious operation.
