Grandparents' Day

On Thursday, October 16th, Mrs. Beeksma's class held a special Grandparent's Day Program in their classroom! Madeline was very fortunate to have three wonderful visitors to share in her moment ... Grandma 'Ola came all the way up from the Twin Cities, "Big" Grandma came up from Butternut, and Auntie Katie was able to take the afternoon off work!
The afternoon began with a student-led classroom tour (to include visiting each and every insect in the classroom :) and finished with some poem recitation by the first-graders.


One of Madeline's favorite poems is "Five Little Pumpkins", which she performed well :)


Of course Benny LOVES feeling like he's part of the class ... and Maddy does such a nice job of including him :)
