Corn Maze And Pumpkin Patch

Aaron, Madeline, Benjamin and I went to Zifko's Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch today. It was a beautiful autumn Saturday with temps in the fifties and the brightly shining sun!
Mr. Zifko has a huge pile of pre-picked pumpkins at his patch, which the kids LOVE to climb on and pick through :)
Both Madeline and Benny were excited about the "Cinderella" pumpkins :)

The Corn Maze is set up so that maze-goers have the challenge of finding six scarecrows from whom they must collect coins in order to receive a prize at the end. Madeline read the rules while Benny questioned what the scarecrows would look like and what they are used for.
At one point Aaron hid in the corn and scared the kids as they walked by ... check out the funny video (pause the music on the left if you want to hear the video sound):

The kids were full of energy (in the beginning) and were anxious to collect coins. Benny was especially relieved to see that the scarecrow was cute :) I think it took us 45 minutes (and even then we didn't find all the scarecrows) and by the end Madeline and I were exhausted. We collected a candy prize anyway (thanks to Mr. Zifko) and both Madeline and Benjamin chose a pumpkin for carving as well.
