Today we went with WAKO (Women And Kids Outdoors) to Whittelsey Creek Farms to visit with friends and pick some flowers! The farm specializes in sunflowers ... unfortunately this growing season has not been great for their sunflower crop. However, they had a lot of other wildflowers to pick and a beautiful greenhouse to visit. Madeline even got a ride on the little tractor! The kids had a great time picking a bouquet of colorful wildflowers!
Although Madeline was squeamish about all the different bugs in the field at first - especially the grasshoppers that she kept stepping on (I HATE GRASSHOPPER GUTS!!), she did love chasing the butterflies and was espcially proud of her pickin's at the end :)
