Field Day

On Friday, June 6th, Lake Superior Elementary School held it's annual Field Day event for the last day of school. Generally the activities are held outside, but with the threatening weather the festivities were indoors this year. In addition to games, art projects, and dancing, the school rented inflatable obstacle courses for the kids to climb. Madeline had a ton of fun, and volunteering was such a treat ... the kids were all so excited to see what the school had planned for them!
Madeline and her classmates listened carefully while Mrs. Graff explained all the fun things the students would be able to do ... her class all wore red so they'd be easy to spot in the busy gymnasium and hallways. They waited in line, anxiously, to try out the obstacle course!

This was the larger of the two inflatables. The other one was more of an obstacle course and this one was kind of a climber with a giant slide at the end.

They also had hula-hooping and dancing set up in the gym for the kids. Madeline was worried because she doesn't hula-hoop very well :( The last picture is of Madeline and Blaze, one of her new friends from Kindergarten.
