Well, for those of you who didn't catch on to the ticker on the left-hand side of our blog measuring our pregnancy, WE ARE EXPECTING! We are all very excited :) We waited to loudly announce our news until we heard the baby's heartbeat, which we finally did hear on Friday May 2 (it was a strong 160). We told the kids on Saturday and Maddy has been telling her friends, teachers, and family like a spreading wildfire! She is so excited and really hopes it's a girl. In fact, she got so excited by the prospect of a sister that she dressed Benny up and told me she finally had "her dreams coming true!" Enjoy the pictures of Benny in his "fancy" dress (he twirled a lot) ... sorry Aaron :(
These next pictures were from a "rock out" session with the Mertig family on Rock Band (our favorite family XBox game). After playing hardcore drums for a while Benny decided he'd like to help Dad with the guitar. About halfway through the song Aaron realized his assistant was fast asleep!
