Packer's Family Night

On Sunday, August 3 Aaron took the kids and I to Packer's Family Night in Green Bay. The Packer's host an annual "family night" practice at Lambeau Field ... complete with tailgating, moon bouncers, and fireworks! The kids had a blast (Benny thought he was at a real Packer's game) and it was an overall pretty cool experience.
Benny insisted on wearing his full Packer's uniform to the event :) Maddy also got a new pink jersey for the season! Both kids were so excited about the treats at the game ... watermelon, corn on the cob, brats, dippin' dots, and water all for $1 each!
Although Benny was a little too young for most of the moon bouncers Madeline picked a couple to do :) The kids tent that they had set up was free and was full of all kinds of fun things for kids ... meant to mimic training camp :)
The storms kept the practice from starting right at 5:30 ... it wasn't the rain but the lightening that kept us waiting in the atrium for over an hour! Luckily someone was visiting all the waiting children making balloon animals :) Madeline got a long red weiner dog (his life was short) and then she waited with Benny in line to choose his creation!
He chose a black butterfly :) Both kids had shining eyes as we finally got to enter Lambeau Field! The event started with the National Anthem and a flyover by a Chinook Helicopter. Benny was especially thrilled!

Madeline enjoyed herself too ... she really likes the atmosphere of big games and events. The stadium was sold out and packed; pretty impressive for a practice!
